Scotch Whisky & Ice Cream Dessert - A perfect combination!
A tip for enjoying a wicked treat on New Year's Day.
Although I feel guilty after the Festive Season and know I'll have to
lose a pound or two, I still feel in the holiday mood, and why not, it
is only once a year after all. New Year's Day is the day you put your feet
up after all the hard work in preparing for the festivities, and before
you make all those New Year's resolutions, why not cheat a little?
In the freezer I've seen some ice cream. On the table I've seen some chocolate
and nuts, and also with a bit of searching I've unearthed some crystallized
ginger that someone must have missed. I'm starting to get ideas for a recipe
for something to sit down with and watch a good film on TV.
With bowl in hand, I've got my ice cream, grated some chocolate, chopped
up some nuts and crystallized ginger, but something is missing somehow;
I look across at the drinks cabinet for inspiration, and there is a bottle
of Scotch whisky saying Drink Me. I feel sorry for it and dash across and
add a little to my bowl of ice cream. Now I'm ready for a great time, and
I'll leave you to try this one out. Cheers. Happy New Year to everyone.
